Marissa Caprio-Schaffer

Pastor Marissa Caprio-Schaffer leads Freedom Church alongside her husband, Pastor Adam, with a heart to help people Find Jesus, Find Freedom and Find Family. 

As the church's primary preacher Marissa shares God's Word with warmth, conviction and practical application. She desires to see people experience God's Presence, discover healing and freedom, and grow confident in their faith. Her heart is to build a church where people are known, cared for and encouraged to use their gifts. 

Raised in church, Marissa fully surrendered her life to Jesus in 2012, a decision that changed her direction from pursing a law degree to accepting the calling that God placed on her life. She recieved her ministerial credentials in 2018 and was ordained through Legacy in 2024.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Marissa earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Temple University before pursing master's in Public Policy from Liberty University.
